In the year 2015, Force Motors invested Rs 200 crore in the plant, which has the capacity to assemble 20,000 engines a year and can increase it to 50,000 engines. The entire range of diesel engines for BMW series 3, 7, 5, and more will be made at this plant.

Rolls Royce

In the year 2018, Force Motors signed an agreement to form a joint venture that will produce engines for power generation and rail underfloor applications. In this Force Motors holds a 51% stake in the JV with the remaining held by the engine-making subsidiary of Rolls Royce.


Mercedes Benz

The OM616 engine family is a diesel automobile Inline-four engine from Mercedes-Benz used in the 1970s and 1980s and produced by Force Motors in India from the 1980s to the present. In the year 2016 Force Motors inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, India. The unit has been built on an investment of Rs 100 crores and will supply engines and axles to Mercedes-Benz India.


India’s Force Motors said it will close its agricultural tractors business and related activities from 31st March 2024.

The company’s closure is because they just want to focus on the core segment of the company, such as shared mobility transportation.
