Blue Tokai Coffee Raises $35 Million in Series C Funding led by Verlinvest

Blue Tokai Coffee, one of India’s leading specialty coffee brands, has successfully raised $35 Million in its latest Series C funding round, led by Belgian investment firm Verlinvest.

This sustainable infusion of capital marks a significant milestone in Blue Tokai’s Journey, demonstrating investor confidence in the brand’s vision and its potential to dominate the specialty coffee market in India. Existing investors including A91 Partners and Grand Aicut Found also participated in this round, underscoring their continued belief in Blue Tokai’s growth prospects.

Founded in the year 2012 by Matt Chitharanajan and Namrata Asthana, Blue Tokai has been at the forefront of India’s coffee revolution, pioneering the concept of farm-to-cup transparency. The company sources high-quality beans from renowned coffee estates across India, roasting them to perfection, and offering a diverse range of blends that cater to both retail consumers and commercial clients. With a strong e-commerce presence and over 60 physical outlets, Blue Tokai has effectively blended the online and offline experience, catering to the growing demand for premium coffee among Indian consumers.

The newly secured funds will be utilized to expand Blue Tokai’s retail footprint and enhance its technological infrastructure to improve customer experience.
