From 'Nikamma' to Dairy Dynamo 

Hariom Nautiyal, faced a lot criticism after he left his job people started calling him "Nikamma", "Pagal", but hariom loved spending time with his cows in village.

which inspired him to start a "Dhanya Dhenu" a dairy farm with 10 cows, initially suffered in his starting days with no customers, hardly earning Rs. 9 on a good day.

By 2016, he established a milk collection center and secured government subsidies, and gained support from dairy worker womens and scheduled caste womens. 

Hariom built his trust by using organic food for cows, and providing customers with free lactometers to ensure the quality of the milk.

With surplus milk, Hariom expanded his business to include products like mawa, ice cream, rabri, faluda, and pickles, selling them locally and at trade fairs. 

Hariom now sells 250 liters of milk daily in Dehradun and Rishikesh, generating Rs 2 crore annually
