From IIT to CEO: The Rise of Nikesh Arora

Born on February 9, 1968, in Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh, Son of Indian air force officer, completed his Electrical engineering from IIT varanasi in 1989.

Started his career in 1992 at Fidelity Investments, where he was in finance and technology management, and got promoted to vice president of Fidelity Technologies.

In early 2000's founded T-Motion a branch of Deutsche Telekom, Played crucial role in integrating of T-Motion into T-Mobile’s core services

In 2004, he led many big roles in Google, it includes, Vice President of Europe Operations and Chief Business Officer, he is also the big reason for growth of Google in Europe and Africa. 

In 2014, joined SoftBank Corp. as Vice Chairman and CEO of SoftBank Internet and Media Inc, played crucial role in expanding SoftBank's global influence.

Currently, he is CEO and Chairman of Palo Alto Networks in 2024, a leading cybersecurity firm.

In 2023, ranked as the second highest-paid CEO in the US, with a compensation of $151.43 million, surpassing major tech CEOs like Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai.
