In 1971, after Harsh Mariwala's takeover, Bombay Oil Industries was renamed Marico.

In 1974, harsh envisions a branded, FMCG particularly coconut and refined edible oils, in small consumer packs.

Marico's products becomes rapid growing products in India and international markets, from parachute oil to saffola oil.

In hair care segment, marico have value added hair oils, including Parachute Advansed and Nihar Naturals

Marico in health sector has been marked by the success of Saffola Oats, company has also introduced Saffola Honey and Saffola Soya Chunks.

Marico in male grooming sector has been marked by the success of set wet brand, includes gel, deodorant, waxes etc.

The company has established a presence in over 25 countries across Asia and Africa, with a diverse range of 25 brands catering to local market preferences.

According market reports Marico has market cap of Rs 78,924 crore.
