Mallya to Dhingra Brothers' Berger Paints Success

Acquired Berger Paints from Vijay Mallya in the 1990s. Kuldip Singh Dhingra: Chairman of Berger Paints.  Gurbachan Singh Dhingra: Vice Chairman.

Berger Paints reported a revenue of Rs 10,619 crore in 2023.  Second-largest paint manufacturer in India, after Asian Paints.

Dhingra family is into paint business from back 1989, Kuldip and Gurbachan expanded the family business.

In 1970's: Successfully established  shop in amritsar with annual revenue of Rs. 10 Lakh. In 1980's: Largest paint exporter to the soviet Union with Rs. 300 Crore business annually.

Forbes estimates their combined net worth at $8.2 billion (Rs 68,467 crore).
